    Biography

    Zhi Tang graduated from the University of Alabama with a Ph.D. degree in Strategic Management in August 2006. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Shandong University, China and an M.S. in Finance from Fudan University, China. His research interests are in the areas of environmental uncertainty, entrepreneurial orientation, and organizational complexity. Tang likes sports, especially tennis, volleyball, and swimming.

    Research Interests & Research in Progress

    • Professor Tang's primary research lies in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. His strategy research to date mainly focuses on organizational complexity and related issues, such as organizational variability and organizational dynamism. His entrepreneurship research examines the entrepreneurship orientation process and its related antecedents and outcomes. His secondary research interest relates to Management Information Science and Labor Economics, largely evolving from his application major and economics background.
