To be prepared for the challenges students will face on the job, the E. Philip Saunders College of Business and RIT offer many experiential education experiences to make coursework and projects relevant to industry.
In a variety of ways, students immerse themselves in the real world in order to apply what they've learned in the classroom, try out different career interests, begin building a network of professional contacts, and start generating earnings to help offset college expenses.
Students learn experientially by:
- participating in teams to address business challenges through industry-sponsored, class-based projects,
- working alongside faculty members on externally-funded research projects,
- contracting or volunteering on corporate or community initiatives with student organizations and programs, and last but certainly not least,
- serving in cooperative education (co-op) paid work assignments with corporations and organizations around the United States and abroad.
